The first free training course, organized by the Iraqi Society for Microbiology in collaboration with the Department of Life Sciences / Al-Mustansiriya University and Elite Specialized Laboratory for Pathological Analyses, was successfully concluded under the title: Advanced Techniques in Microbial Diagnosis, The course was held from February 2 to 4, 2026, with the participation of 130 trainees, including postgraduate students, researchers, microbiology specialists, and professionals working in medical and research laboratories. The training program featured lectures delivered by a distinguished group of experts from the Ministry of Health, including specialists from the Central Public Health Laboratory and Al-Alawiya Children’s Hospital, in addition to academic staff from the Departments of Life Sciences and Microbiology, as well as lecturers from the Elite Specialized Laboratory. The course covered advanced theoretical and practical aspects of modern microbial diagnostic techniques. At the conclusion of the course, a scientific evaluation test was conducted to assess participants’ understanding and benefit from the scientific and practical components of the training program.
